Err, see that arrow there, I forgot how to use photoshop filters to render a rod instead of handpainting it, does anyone know?

I think at least 90% of you wouldn't know who he is 0A0

My fav from Water Margin is Yan Qing actually, but I just wanted to draw an oriental archer.

It's the first time I drew someone with a determined righteous look, which is how Hua Rong is :)

Inspired from Japanese kyudo, it's nice to see how well they kept their traditions and discipline. While a lot of our (Chinese) culture, customs and spirit kind of died with our emperors...

Probably the most oriental styled piece I've done, loving it.

EDIT:
1. The arrow is on this side of bow for Asian archery, on the other side for Western archery.
2. The chest protector is on the other side for Japanese kyudo, but on this side for all other archery I've seen.
3. The drawing length of Asian archery is longer than that of modern Western archery.
4.Hand position of drawing hand, I really don't know how this works.
5. Feel free to point out my mistakes, just.. pls don't point out nonexistent errors based on your knowledge of Western archery

wonderful! I love your art! . I know about water margin and I love the stories . Hua Rong is one of my favorite character in Water Margin . I also like Lin Chong , Wu Song , Yan Qing and Yang Zhi

is the bow hand supposed to be closed in japanese kyudo? I know in western it is usually supposed to be open so as to not jerk the shot but I didn't know about Japanese

我代表知道水浒的那10%谢谢你画一个这么有中国特色的人物！颜色和弓的设计叫我想起后羿的故事。^^倒是有点心酸画花荣需要用日本式的射箭做参考。。。你说的太对了，中国应该学日本好好保存我们的文化。
